To locate LAN cables
Connect the RJ 45 adapter (8) to a
network socket. Then use the receiver
to search for the line, with the test
mode button (14) held down.
To avoid interference,
disconnect all network
plug connections.

Trace cables

Make the measuring circuit zero-potential. Shields in
the cable and in the surrounding area (metal coverings,
metal supports, etc.) reduce the range of the receiver.

Connect cable terminals (9) to the
required cable.
Then use the receiver
to search for the line, with the test
mode button (14) held down.
To achieve the maximum measuring
depth, set the receiver signal volume
as high as it will go (13).

To trace a single cable, connect the red terminal to
the cable to be traced and the black terminal to earth
(earthing conductor or shielding).
The signal is weak when connected to two signal lines
within a cable.
