4-11 VARIABLE RATIO ADJUSTMENT
The leveler is also equipped with a variable ra-
tio adjustment. This is located at the rear of the
hitch. Connect the leveler tower to the top holes in
the hitch for normal operations. The lower holes on
the hitch are for a reduced leveler ratio. This is
useful when a tow hitch will be used to keep the
frame closer to level in raised position.
4-11.1
To change the variable ratio adjust-
ment, lower the implement to the ground and
relieve the load on the lift system.
4-11.2
Extend or retract the radius rod, until
the load is removed from the leveler tower.
4-11.3
Remove the 1-1/4-7 x 9-1/2 hex head
cap screw, slotted lock washer, and hex nut
through the leveler tower and hitch
(See Fig-
ure 4-9)
.
4-11.4
Reinstall the 1-1/4-7 x 9-1/2 hex head
cap screw, slotted lock washer, hex nut, and
leveler tower in the desired position. The ra-
dius rod will require some adjustment to con-
nect to the new position.
