Cost of Consumption
- shows a snap-
shot of the cost (in dollars and cents per
hour) of the energy being used by your
household at your current rate of usage.
The amount shown also depends upon
electricity demand and the rate per kilo-
watt-hour charged for electricity by your
electric service provider. (This rate can
change depending on local or system-
wide demand...see Time of Use Rate
below.)
Time of Use (TOU) Rate
- if you have
signed up for a time-of-use program with
your utility, this rate structure will auto-
matically be used by your ecoMeter. It
shows which TOU rate is being applied
to your current electric usage. Utilities
using graduated peak/off-peak demand
pricing will use the numbers in this area
to show which of up to four possible
price rates is being applied. The actual
per-kWh energy price represented by
10
