Steel Blade (Optional)
Refer to Figure 3-2:
Replace steel blade (#3) before its cutting edge is worn
even with bottom of moldboard (#4).

WARNING
Replace steel blade with Snow Pusher attached to a tractor
loader. An unhooked Snow Pusher can tip over backwards
causing serious injury or death.
!
WARNING
Always secure attachment with solid supports before working
under it. Never work under attachment supported by
hydraulics. Hydraulics can drop attachment if controls are
actuated or if hydraulic lines burst. Either situation can drop
attachment instantly even when power to hydraulics is off.
!
CAUTION
Exercise caution when working near or on the steel blade. The
cutting edge can be sharp. Always wear gloves when working
around the steel blade.
1.
Park tractor and Snow Pusher on level ground. Lower
Snow Pusher until skid shoes (#5) are resting on
support blocks (#6) as shown. (Support blocks
should not be located under the steel blade.)
2.
Shut tractor down properly before dismounting. Refer
to
“Tractor Shutdown Procedures”
on page 6.
1.
Remove hex whiz nuts (#2), plow bolts (#1), and
steel blade (#3).
2.
Attach new steel blade (#3) as shown with
1/2"-13 x 1 1/2" GR5 plow bolts (#1) and hex whiz
nuts (#2).
3.
Center blade (#3) between the side panels and
tighten hex whiz nuts (#2) to the correct torque.
