INSTALLED.

4. Lift mainframe (#3) over moldboard kingpin (#9).
With mainframe at a 90° angle to the moldboard,
carefully lower mainframe onto moldboard kingpin.
5. Reattach pivot cap (#10) with 3/4"-10 x 1 1/2" GR5
hex flange screws (#13). Tighten hex flange screws
to the proper torque.
6. Remove hitch pin (#14) and cap screw (#18). Attach
jack stand (#4) in the vertical position shown with
3/4"-10 x 4 1/2" GR5 cap screw (#18) and 3/4"
locknut (#19). Draw locknut up snug.
Do Not
torque
nut.
7.
Re-insert hitch pin & secure with hairpin cotter (#15).
8. Carefully unhook lifting device from mainframe.
9. Remove 1/4" cotter pin (#16), pivot pin washer (#5),
and mainframe pivot pin (#2) from hitch frame (#1).
10. Secure hitch frame to a lifting device or attach to a
tractor. See
11. Attach hitch frame (#1) to mainframe (#3) with pivot
pin (#2). Make sure bent lip at the top is facing back.
12. Install pivot pin washer (#5) and cotter pin (#16).
Bend one or more legs of the cotter pin to keep it from
falling out.
13. Re-check all hardware for tightness.
Assembly & Set-Up Safety

To avoid serious injury or death:
•
Components falling from the implement can injure a
person. Make certain all components are secured to the
implement before lifting it, and that the unit is properly
supported on the ground before removing lifting device.
Always keep feet and other extremities clear of areas where
•
Always check all blade hardware for tightness before
moving or working around the unit. Make sure moldboard
pivot and tilt retaining hardware is tightened to the correct
torque. The moldboard can fall from the its pivot mount or
tilt mount if retaining hardware is loose or missing.
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Do not remove shipping block from blade tilt housing until
after all manual links, ratchet jack, and/or hydraulic cylinders
have been installed and cylinders have been charged with oil.
Hitch, Mainframe & Moldboard
1.
Locate shipping crate on a level surface. Remove &
separate components from shipping crate.
Refer to Figure 1-1:
2. Remove hex screws (#13) and pivot cap (#10) from
moldboard carrier (#7).
Do not remove shipping
block (#20) from moldboard carrier.
3. Use a lifting device to set moldboard carrier in the
upright position. Securely support moldboard in this
position and then remove lifting device.
