Accessing the Vehicle
Opening and closing the rear hatch
The rear hatch is electrically operated and can be opened and closed only
when the vehicle is stationary.
Opening
Briefly pull the
button in the driver door to open the rear
hatch.
Press the
button twice on the key with remote control.
With the vehicle unlocked, or with the key with remote
control a maximum of 5 ft (1.5 m) from the rear
hatch, press the handle on the rear hatch.
With the key with remote control at a
maximum of 5 ft (1.5 m) from the rear
hatch, use the foot gesture.
Locking
With the instrument cluster switched on, pull and hold the
button
in the driver door until the rear hatch has closed completely.
Press and hold the
button on the key with remote control until the rear
hatch has closed completely.
With the key with remote control at a maximum of 5 ft (1.5 m) from the rear hatch,
use the foot gesture.
Press the handle on the rear hatch.
Press the
button inside the rear hatch.
Press the button inside the rear hatch, keeping the key with remote control outside the
luggage compartment but at a maximum of 5 ft (1.5 m) from the rear hatch. The rear hatch will
close and the vehicle will be locked.
Opening and Closing the Rear Hatch in an Emergency
When necessary, the rear hatch can be opened from the inside.
•
Fold down the rear seats to access the luggage compartment from the inside.
•
Remove the cover near the lock.
•
Push the lever upwards and to the right to unlock the rear hatch.
•
Push the rear hatch upwards, applying constant force.
•
To close the rear hatch, push it slowly downwards, so that the resistance applied is
lower, until it is fully closed.
Foot Gesture
With the engine off and the instrument cluster off, stand behind the vehicle, at around 8 inches (20 cm)
from the rear bumper, with the key with remote control on your person. Move your foot forwards and
backwards once under the bumper in one smooth motion, without touching the bumper.
Note
The foot gesture must be performed correctly in order to work. This is to prevent the rear
hatch being opened or closed involuntarily.
