Note
The backup battery will only slowly discharge if the main power is disconnected.
Therefore it is recommended that the battery is removed if the freezer is not
operational for long periods.
In order to avoid switching off the freezer unintentionally we recommend to not install a switch
between the mains supply and the freezer.
Connecting the freezer to its own fuse group (minimum ampere) will reduce the risk of power
failure (other instruments cannot then contribute to fuse failure).
Start-up the freezer
5.2
When switched ON the 2 Compressors will start, there is a delay between 1st and 2nd Stage
compressors starting.
The display will indicate the actual temperature.
Cooling commences
5.3
Ensure that the door is closed!! It will take approximately 2.5 hours to lower the temperature of the
freezer to the pre-set operating temperature.
During the entire cooling down period the actual freezer temperature is shown in the display.

Operation
The control system of the Snowbird automatically keeps the temperature of the freezer within a
narrow tolerance range, and if interruptions occurs both acoustic and visual alarms will be
triggered.
Apart from necessary maintenance, the basic instructions for daily use can therefore be confined to
the following statement:
Close the door properly and make sure the freezer is connected to the power supply.
Note
Open doors and power failures are the most frequent causes of "alarm" actuation!
