Portable Toilets
1510 / 1513 / 1520
Operating Instructions
6
Introduction:
These operating instructions contain directions for the use of LaPlaya® Portable Toilets 1510, 1513 and
1520. LaPlaya® Portable Toilets offer you the comfort of a portable toilet for camping, in the garden, in
the boat or any other location without sanitary facilities. Hygienic to use and constructed with high-quality
materials are LaPlaya® Portable Toilets durable as well as user- and maintenance friendly.
LaPlaya Portable Toilets have two detachable tanks which are connected by plastic hooks. They are easy
to connect and disconnect. The upper tank is the fresh water tank and the lower tank the flush water tank.
To ensure optimal function we recommend the use of LaPlaya Sanitary Liquids.
Preparation and Use
Separate the two tanks by releasing the side-clips. Fill the upper fresh water tank with water (max. 13 ltr.)
and LaPlaya Fresh Water Additive (dosage according to the instructions printed on the label of the additive).
Add LaPlaya Waste Water Additive in the lower waste water tank (dosage according to the instructions
printed on the label of the additive). Connect the two tanks by fastening the side-clips . Then open the
valve blade by pulling it out and push the pump. Keep pushing until the bottom of the waste water tank
is covered with water. Close the valve blade again by pressing it in. The toilet is now ready to use.
Before usage open the valve blade. After usage flush by pressing the pump, then close the valve blade
again.
Emptying
The toilet must be emptied when the content of the waste water tank comes up to approx. 3-4 cm to the
valve blade. For hygienic reasons we recommend emptying the toilet more often than this. Make sure the
valve blade is fully closed and then separate the two tanks. Empty the waste water tank at a designated
place. Before connecting the two tanks again make sure that the valve blade and the surfaces where the
two tanks are connected are clean. Now you can connect the two tanks again by fastening the side clips.
In case you are using the toilet at low temperatures, e.g. winter camping, we recommend to add and anti
freezer or ethylene glycol to the water in the upper fresh water tank. Lubricate the rubber parts of the valve
blade, the piston pump and the pump from time to time with silicon lubricant.
Storage
In case you will not use the toilet for a longer period of time pay attention in the following advises.
• Empty the waste water tank completely.
• Push the pump a few times until no water remains in the flush system.
• Clean both of the tanks properly.
• Allow the toilet to dry thoroughly. We recommend to store the toilet without the caps screwed on the
tanks, but to store the screw caps separately.
