6.  Connect the remaining 1/4” NPT hose to the fuel 

pump return port and the 3/8” swivel nut to the 

return inlet of the remote fuel hook-up.

E.  Drawing Fuel from an External Tank

  ATTENTION

  •  The diameter of the fuel supply hose from the 

external fuel tank to the heater fuel filter must be 

 

a minimum of 3/8” ID. 

  •  Use the appropriate fittings acquired locally to 

connect to the inlet of the fuel filter.

--  Install appropriate pipe fittings as desired to con

-

nect the external fuel tank supply hose to the 3/8” 

NPT female inlet of the fuel filter.

--  External fuel tanks are available from companies 

such as Western Global

®

When using an external fuel tank, the burner will 

draw fuel:

--  Up to 7 ft. rise if the tank is located below the 

heater.

--  75 ft. horizontal run if the external tank is located 

on the same level as the heater.

F. Completion

1. Check hose connections to match the diagram below.

2. Check all connections for tightness.

3. Start heater and check all connections for leaks.
