7. Wrap the cord of the blue cap around the elbow
and press fit the cap onto the threads of the bush
-
ing. This will protect the threads from damage and
allows the hose to be reconnected at a later date
if drawing fuel from the heater’s onboard tank is
desired.
8. Remove the fuel hose between the outlet of
the fuel filter and the pump. This hose may be
discarded. Removal of the fuel filter assembly from
the bracket may aid in the hose removal.
D. Installation
1. Install the provided elbow and nipple to the outlet
of the fuel filter.
Pump
2. Attach the remote hook-up bracket to the fuel filter
bracket, as shown, using the mounting screws
provided with kit.
3. Insert the remote hook-up onto the bracket.
4. Connect the hose with the male 3/8” NPT to the
elbow of the fuel filter. If a 3/8” NPT hose is not one
of your hoses, install the 3/8” reducing bushing from
the kit to the elbow than connect the 1/4” NPT hose
to the bushing. Connect its swivel nut to the bottom
of the remote hook-up.
5. Connect the 1/4” NPT hose to fuel pump inlet port
and the 3/8” swivel nut to the outlet port of the
remote fuel hook-up.
