Use and Care of Optional Lenses
Description
The lens assembly you have purchased is a long wave
thermal imaging objective lens that collects and
focuses radiation in the 8–12
µ
m spectral region.
The optical components of this unit are manufactured
from optical grade germanium (a semiconductor
material). The optical components are specially coated
to transmit a minimum average of 96% of the
incoming radiation in the 8–12
µ
m spectral region.
Refer to table on next page for lens assembly options.
