Using the keyguard
Locking the keyguard
The Keyguard locks the external number keypad
on your phone to prevent accidental keypresses
when the phone is turned on and a call is not in
progress. You can still answer or silence an
incoming call.
• To lock the keypad, press and hold
.
• To unlock the keypad, press the left softkey
to select
Keyguard
, then press
.
Changing the keyguard setting
You can set the phone to lock the keypad
automatically when the flip is closed.

→
Keyguard

Highlight an option:
– Guard on close
– Disabled

Press
to save.
Silencing all sounds
Your phone is set to make sounds when you
receive calls, press keys, navigate through menus,
and receive alerts (such as new messages). You
can silence all sounds and set the phone to vibrate
or light up when you receive calls and alerts.
Setting the phone to vibrate or light up

Silent Mode

Choose an option and press

Vibrate Only
: The phone vibrates for the
duration of the incoming call or other
alerts.

: The phone vibrates for the
first 10 seconds and then rings for the
remainder of the incoming call alert.

duration of the incoming call or other

Normal Sounds
: The phone rings for the
incoming call or alert (in effect, returns
phone to a non-silent mode).
Note:
The phone will ring when it is attached to
an external power source (such as a charger),
even if all sounds have been silenced.
