The rear brake must be functioning properly to lock
the rear wheel during starting, or the scooter may
accelerate away when the engine starts. Accidental
contact with a spinning rear wheel will cause personal
injury.
3. Press the starter button

without rotating the throttle grip.
NOTE: The rear brake must be held for the starter motor
to engage the engine. It is normal for the stop light to be
illuminated during starting.
OPERATION
Starting the engine
To start your scooter using the electric starter motor, follow
this procedure:
1. Unlock the steering with the ignition switch key and turn the
ignition switch to the “ON -
” position.
NOTE: Before starting, check the engine oil and fuel lev-
els. Place the scooter on the main stand.
2. Apply the rear brake (left lever) .
