Figure 21: Change scenario configurations
KYMATI will continuously improve functionality and experience of the device and thus it might
be necessary to update the firmware of the device. However, to enable a firmware update, the
device needs to be put into “OperationMode.Bootloader” through the “Device Control Tab” as
shown in Figure 20.
-
Select “OperationMode.Bootloader” and press “Set Default Bootmode”.
-
Reset the device and wait a couple of seconds. When successful, the status LEDs 7
and 9 will blink continuously.
To ensure proper operation we recommend restarting the GUI or rerun the discovery and
device selection as shown above.
Firmware updates consist of two binary files:
-
A microcontroller binary with the file ending “.ucbin”
-
A radar frontend binary with the file ending “.radarbin”
Switch to the “Firmware” Tab and perform the firmware update in the following order:
-
Press “Upload UC Firmware”, select the new microcontroller binary and wait for
completion.
-
Press “Upload Radar Firmware”, select the new radar frontend binary and wait for
completion.
After uploading the GUI should look similar to the one shown in Figure 23:
