No Sound from Receiving Instrument
If you are trying to control another instrument using MIDI and that instrument doesn’t respond
to your PC1, check the following:
z
A working MIDI cable should connect the PC1’s Out or Thru/Out jack to the In jack of
the other instrument
z
If you’re using the MIDI Thru/Out port, flip the switch near the MIDI In port to the out
position (a ball-point pen works well for this)
z
Continuous control pedal 1: check the connection and pedal position
z
The other instrument should be receiving on the same MIDI channel that the PC1 is
using to transmit MIDI information
z
All zones that you want to transmit must be active (the lights in the
Zone 1

buttons must be green)
z
The PC1 might be sending MIDI information only to itself: In Setup mode, press the
Edit
button and then press
Enter
button to enter MIDI Xmit menu, then press the right-
arrow button under the display once, then turn the Alpha wheel until you see
