Fastening the hood body to the wall

Caution!

When the hood is installed, the distance between the

glass shelf and the cooker must be at least 650  mm.
Establish the chimney length accordingly.

Caution!

The wall mounting must be aligned with a spirit level.

Correct alignment of the hood is only possible if you perform this
work accurately.

If the hood is connected to an exhaust channel, make sure that the exhaust
opening is inside the chimney surface and the hood is located centrally abo-
ve the hob.

Mark the holes for the wall fasten-
ing with the enclosed template.

Drill the holes with an 8 mm bit
and insert the dowels.

Screw in the wall screws leaving
just a small gap. between screw
and wall. (A)

Remove the metal fat filters.

Mount the hood body onto the
wall screws.

Align the hood body with a spirit
level and tighten the wall screws.

Tighten the securing screws. (B)

Connecting the external motor (KDEM 965.1)

Remove the cover of the swit-
ching and control unit. It is loca-
ted on the top right of the hood
body.

Connect the control line of the ex-
ternal motor hanging from the
wall or ceiling.

Preparing the chimney

The chimney consists of two parts: The upper part has ventilation slits, the
lower part recesses for the control buttons.

The recesses for the control but-
tons must always be at the bot-
tom.

The chimney parts can be pulled
apart and pushed together again
as required.

Recirculation mode: The ventilati-
on slits must be at the top.

Extraction mode: The ventilation
slits must be at the bottom so
that they are covered by the bot-
tom chimney part.

Installation of the exhaust channels

Recirculation mode

For recirculation mode the ventilation slits must be turned upwards in the
upper chimney part. Insert the upper and lower chimney parts into each
other again.

Set the recirculating air deflectors
to the appropriate width with the
screws (C).

Secure the recirculating air de-
flector with the wall screws and
dowels so that the openings of
the deflector are at the level of
the ventilation slits in the chim-
ney. (D)

Connect the recirculating air de-
flector and the hood body to an
extraction channel.

Extraction mode

For extraction mode the ventilation slits in the upper chimney part must be
turned downwards.

Connect the hood body to the extraction channel.

Electric connection

Plug the mains plug into the socket.

The household fuse must still be switched off!
