What to do if trouble occurs

Unplug the appliance before repair!

First check whether there has been any operating error. You can deal with
some problems that occur yourself.

Important note:

Repairs  should  only  be  carried  out  by  a  qualified  and  authorised  trained
installer!
Even during the guarantee period repairs will not be free of charge if due to
incorrect operation or to non-adherence to our instructions given under “What
to do if trouble occurs”.

Should  you  need  to  contact  Customer  service  or  order  spare  parts,  always
quote the information printed on the model identification plate. The rating label
is located at the bottom side of the hob. You will also find it stuck onto the
front page of the operating instructions enclosed.

Cleaning and Care

=

Never  clean  the  glass  ceramic  hob  with  a  steam  cleaner  or  similar
appliance!

=

Never use cleansers which contain silicon, since these leave behind a
protective film, i.e. residues, which could get into the food that is cooked
next. Therefore, follow the instructions of the manufacturer in this regard.

■

Clean the hob every time after use.

■

Only  use  the  supplied  cleaning  scraper  to
remove food residues.

■

Never use abrasive materials such as steel
wool or abrasive cleansers!

■

Be  especially  caref ul  to  keep  the  sensors
clean  since  soiling  could  be  mistaken  for
finger contact by the appliance.
Never put anything (pans, tea towels etc.) onto the sensors! If food boils
over onto the sensors, we advise you to activate the emergency switch.

■

Make sure that no cleaning residuals remain on the cooking zone.

F

Residues of cleaning agents can cause discolouring the next time you
switch it on. Cloths and sponges which are used for the cleaning of other
surfaces can cause discolouring.

■

We recommend cleaning the hob with half a lemon or lemon juice. This
enables slight protein residues, e.g. from meat, to be removed easily and
makes the hob gleam again.

Using a cleaning scraper

=

Caution! Risk of cutting! The blade of the
cleaning scraper is very sharp!

Always hold the cleaning scraper flat to the surface
and push the grease away from you.

=

Do not scratch the surface with the edge of
the scraper.

Cleaning the cooking zone

=

Make sure that no cleaning residuals remain on the cooking zone.

– First of all remove all food residuals and fat splashes from the hot cooking

zone by means of the cleaning scraper.

– Clean the cooking zone with water and some detergent.

– Rewipe it with clear water and finally dry it.

F

In case there are still some soil particles left on the cooking zone after
cleaning, they can easily be removed by means of a special cleansing
agent, e.g. VSR O-FIX-C (available from the Küppersbusch Customer
service). Then wipe off the entire cooking zone with a wet and afterwards
with a dry cloth.
