For the operation of the cylinders (V) at least one single
acting tractor valve is needed. The flexible hoses (G)
and adaptors should be connected as shown on photo
26 and 27. The adaptor (T) should be fixed in the hole
between the 2 connectors (H) of the lifting cylinders
(photo 27).
There is a choice of 6 linkage hook positions for
adapting the additional tool. The lifting capacity is of
around 2500 daN/5500lbs for a tractor pressure of 180
bars / 2550 psi.
b) Use of two cylinder stroke limiting chains :
This equipment is essential for security when folding the harrow and lifting the additional
implement, in particular to avoid any interference between the power harrow and the combined
implement.
- Fitting the 2 cylinder stroke limiting chains (L) (total factory adjusted length with 2 mounting brackets : 975 mm)
allows the additional implement to be lifted to a height (X) of 600 - 700 mm, while the harrow is still foldable
(photo 29). These limiting chains also protect the PTO transmission shaft from bottoming out or from being operated
at excessive U-joint angles.
- When the cylinder stroke limiting chains are removed, the additional implement can be lifted completly, hence
a maximum load transfer, but in no case must the harrow be folded up.
The folding of the harrow is also forbidden when no additional implement is attached because
of a risk of interfering with the signaling panels (photo 30).
