TRANSPORT
Wait until the rotating elements have come to a complete stop and keep all persons
away from the vicinity of the machine before pivoting the rear rotor into transport
position.
To change the machine from the working position to the transport position, proceed as follows:
- Activate the tractor’s double acting valve to fully retract the rear cylinder (K) (photo 30), causing the rear rotor
to place itself in transport position, the swath screen (G) to fold in (photo 27) and the compensating spring (R)
to release (photo 28).
Note : To place the machine in transport position when the machine is used with manually adjusted swath screen,
remove lock pin (B) (photo 29), fold the swath screen (G) inwards by means of the handle (E) until it comes
into contact with the stop plate of guide (T). Then install lock pin (B) in the locking pipe (H) of the guide (T)
(photo 29) and secure with R-clip.
- Activate the tractor’s single acting valve to lift the machine, causing the hydraulic transport lock (V) (photo 30) to
engage.
- Shut-off the lock valve (F) (photo 31) to lock the lift cylinders in raised position.
- Move forwards so that the rear rotor is in alignment with the front rotor (photo 32).
Always tow the GA 6000 in the raised transport position.
The parking stand must always be lifted when in transport and in work.
Before going on the road, check that the lighting equipment and reflectors are clean
and operate well.
Never engage the rotor drive when the machine is in the transport position.
Do not tow the GA 6000 at a speed exceeding the limits in force in the country in which the
machine is transported. If in doubt about the legal speed limit, consult a legal adviser.
