OPERATION
The
GA 4511 GM
must never be operated with a PTO speed above 540 rpm.
According to crop density, the
GA 4511 GM
can make single (fig. 11) or double windrows (fig. 12). The swath screen
should not be used for making double windrows (fig. 12).
If raking is poor, it may be for either of the following reasons :
1° Poor raking with hay left in the centre (fig. 13)
To correct, shorten the top link.
2° Poor raking at sides (fig. 14)
To correct, lengthen top link and, if necessary, readjust height of tines by means of the bogie axle support column.
FORWARD SPEED
Forward speed must be determined in accordance with quantity of crop, type of terrain, etc. It is recommended to
always operate at a lower speed when working in difficult conditions, however it is not possible to recommend specific
speeds, these must be determined by the operator under the prevailing conditions.
