3. Maintenance
Hydro-pneumatic accumulators
Hydro-pneumatic accumulators do not require any
particular maintenance.
Regularly check the tightness of the accumulator fixing
bolts and that no oil has leaked from hydraulic circuit (a
small oil leak can change settings).
To depressurize the circuit
Place the machine in working position.
Shift the tractor's hydraulic valve in float position.
Open valve.
Release pressure until the gauge needle reads 0.
Shut-off valve.
-
Before adjusting, maintaining or repairing
the machine, turn off ignition key and wait
until all moving parts have come to a
complete stop.
Before any work is carried out on a hydraulic
circuit with hydro-pneumatic accumulator,
depressurize the circuit.
It is strictly forbidden to weld, grind or drill
onto a hydro-pneumatic accumulator.
Pressurize the hydraulic circuit before
activating any other hydraulic function of the
machine.
In France, hydro-pneumatic accumulators
must be checked for pressure every 10 years
by an authorized organization: The DRIRE
(Direction régionale de l'Industrie, de la
Recherche et de l'Environnement) for
example.
