3. Maintenance
„ The conditioner belts
The automatic tensioning device ensures correct tension
throughout the belt's service life.
Belt set replacement
Remove 5 bolts (1).
Remove belt guard.
Loosen screw (1) to slacken belts (2).
Remove the 2 V-belts.
Install new belt set.
Tighten screw (1) until it buts against rod (3).
Reinstall belt guard.
Tightening torque: 4.9 daN m (36 lbf ft).
Before carrying out any maintenance or
repairs on the machine, switch off the tractor
engine, remove ignition key, wait until all
moving parts have come to a standstill and
apply park brake.
Never replace belts individually. When a belt is
damaged, always replace the whole set (Part
no. 83101798).
Should the belts no longer drive, they have
reached their useful service life.
Replace belts in full sets.
