Getting Started
Before First Use
• This product has been packaged to protect it against transportation damage.
Remove all packaging materials from around and inside the appliance and
keep the original packaging carton and materials in a safe place. It will help
prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future, and
you can use it to store the appliance when it is not in use. In the event that
the carton is to be disposed of, please recycle all packaging materials where
possible.
• Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children,
so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach and disposed of safely.
• Inspect the cord and plug for damage or wear before each use. Do not use
if any part is damaged. In case of damage, contact our after sales support
centre for advice on examination, repair or return of the damaged product.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with the parts and operating principles
of the appliance. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions on the
previous pages.
• Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply. Then wash
the
paddle, spindle and the inside only of the inner bowl with a soft cloth
or sponge and warm, soapy water to remove any dust from transport. Dry
thoroughly.
• Before washing the lid, make sure you detach the power unit from the lid, see
page 10 for assembly/disassembly instructions. Dry the lid thoroughly.
• When all parts are dry, assemble the ice cream maker as illustrated on the
following pages.
WARNING!
• Never immerse the power unit or inner bowl in water.
• Always separate the power unit from the lid and protect it from moisture
before washing the lid in water.
