6. When exchanging an old battery with new one, use a
battery of equal specification shown in
"SPECIFICATIONS".
(For non-accessible maintenance-free type batteries.)
Maintenance-free, non-accessible batteries are designed
to eliminate the need to add water. Yet the volume of
electrolyte above plates may eventually become depleted
due to abnormal conditions such as high heat or improper
regulator setting. Use a voltmeter to check the state of
charge. (See reference chart below to determine if
charging is necessary.)

Cleaning Area Around Battery
A
Area around battery must be clean to prevent the
electrical cables from rusting.
1. If the dust or chaff has accumulated around battery,
remove them by hand or air blow.

Adjusting Throttle Cable
1. Move the throttle lever to the top position.
2. Make sure a part (2) is touching the restricting bolt (1).
3. If not, loosen the bolt (3) and pull the throttle lever
cable (4) in direction of the arrow (A) so that the part
(2) would touch the restricting bolt (1).
And then tighten the bolt (3).
