9. Interference suppression measures
The following interference suppression
measures may be required: if the output swit-
ches inductive loads (relays, solenid valves),
interferences must be suppressed by means of
a freewheeling diode for direct current and of
an RC element for alternating current. For safe
and EMC-compliant operation, use shielded
cables for the control inputs (counting, reset and
key lock inputs). The shield must be connected
at both ends. If this is not possible, a capacitor
(e.g. 10 nf) may be integrated on one side in the
shield connection.
