4. Mechanical installation
4.1 Evaluation Unit / Position Supervisor Unit
The Evaluation Unit is supplied in a plastic housing, which is suitable for installation on a top-hat rail.
The Evaluation Unit must be installed in a switching cabinet (IP20) according to EN81-20.
The following options are available for mounting the Evaluation Unit:
1. Mount the Evaluation Unit on the cabin roof.
The sensor is connected directly to the Evaluation Unit.
2. Mount the Evaluation Unit in the control box.
The sensor is routed directly to the Evaluation Unit via the trailing cable. The maximum length of the
bus line of 100 m must be complied with.
In both cases, a top-hat rail is required. The PSU Evaluation Unit can be simply mounted on the top-
hat rail using its housing.
