Never use DOT 5 brake fluid! It is silicone-based and purple in color. Oil seals and brake lines are not designed for DOT 5
brake fluid.
Avoid contact between brake fluid and painted parts. Brake fluid attacks paint!
Use only clean brake fluid from a sealed container.

Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.

Remove screws

Remove cover
with membrane

Press the brake caliper toward the brake disc to push back the brake pistons and
ensure that no brake fluid runs out of the brake fluid reservoir, sucking it off if it
does.

Make sure when pushing back the brake pistons that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

Remove the locking split pins
, pull out the pin
and remove the brake linings.

Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper support.

in the brake caliper and sliding plate

caliper support are seated correctly.

Insert the brake linings, insert pin
, and mount locking split pins

Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with
the brake disc and there is a pressure point.
