Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 74)

Remove the rear wheel. x ( p. 117)

Check bearing


» If the bearing is damaged or worn:
–
Replace the bearings. x
–
Check rubber dampers

of the rear hub for damage and wear.
» If the rubber dampers of the rear hub are damaged or worn:
–
Change all rubber dampers in the rear hub.

Lay the rear wheel on a workbench with the rear sprocket facing upwards and insert the
wheel spindle in the hub.

To check play  , hold the rear wheel tight and try to rotate the rear sprocket with your
hand.

Measure the play on the outside of the rear sprocket.

is larger than the specified value:

Change all rubber dampers in the rear hub.
