Check the chain sliding guard for wear at the cutout.

When the chain sliding guard is new, the rivets

are half visible at the bottom
edge

of the recess.
» When the rivets of the chain are no longer visible at the bottom edge of the recess
of the chain sliding guard:
–
Change the chain sliding guard.
–
Check the chain sliding guard for tightness.
» If the chain sliding guard is loose:
–
Tighten the screws on the chain sliding guard.
Guideline
Screw, chain sliding guard M5 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)

Check the chain guide for wear.
» If the chain guide is worn:
–
Change the chain guide.

Check the chain guide for tightness.
» If the chain guide is loose:
–
Tighten the screws on the chain guide.
Guideline
Screw, chain guide M6 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)
Finishing work
