RIDING INSTRUCTIONS
101
Warning
Danger of accidents
Longer stopping distance due to higher overall weight.
–
Take the longer stopping distance into account when carrying a passenger and baggage.
Warning
Danger of accidents
Delayed brake action on salted roads.
–
There may be salt deposits on the brake discs. In order to restore the normal braking efficiency, you will need to remove the
deposits from the discs by carefully applying the brakes.
Warning
Danger of accidents
Greater stopping distance due to ABS.
–
Braking should be appropriate to the driving situation and the road conditions.
Warning
Danger of accidents
Very forceful braking can cause the wheels to block.
–
ABS must be switched on to be effective.
Warning
Danger of accidents
Vehicle rollover
–
It is not always possible to prevent vehicle rollover in extreme riding situations (e. g. luggage loaded with a high center of grav-
ity, varying road surfaces, steep descents, full braking without disengaging the gear). Adapt your riding style to the road condi-
tions and your driving ability.
–
When braking, release the throttle and apply the front and rear brakes at the same time.
Info
When the ABS is enabled, you can achieve maximum braking power even on low grip surfaces such as sandy, wet, or slippery
terrain without locking of the wheels.
