2-2. Typical Applications
The 24-Port GbE Web Smart Switch provides auto MDIX on its TP ports and
supports fiber types like: LC and BiDi SFP for removable modules on its four slots.
For more details on the specification of the switch, please refer to Appendix A.
The switch is suitable for the following applications.

Central Site/Remote site application is used in carrier or ISP (See Fig. 2-10)

Peer-to-peer application is used in two remote offices (See Fig. 2-11)

Office network(See Fig. 2-12)
Fig. 2-10 illustrates how the switches and the various devices form the
