Always reassemble the pump in accordance with the relevant general assembly
drawing and installation instructions.

▪

Never use O-rings that have been glued together from material sold by the
metre.

▪

Replace all O-rings and V-rings by new ones and clean their locating fits on the
shaft. Fit all sealing elements on the relevant components before starting with
the assembly.

▪

Observe the installation instructions regarding cleaning, lubricating and sealing
agents.

▪

Remove any liquid sealant residues before starting with the assembly.

For reassembly, tighten all screws and bolts as specified in this manual.

7.7.2 Installing the mechanical seal

1. Mount seal cover 471.21 / 471.22 together with shaft sleeve 523.20 and cartridge

mechanical seal 433 on drive shaft 213. Gently push them on until the seal cover
abuts shaft seal housing 441.02.

2. Check the rotor position.
3. Fit and tighten hexagon nuts 920.10. Observe the tightening torques! (

4. Tighten grub screws 904.20 between the mechanical seal shaft sleeve and drive

shaft 213.

5. Undo hexagon head bolts 901.20 and remove locking discs 552.01.

NOTE

Only tighten the seal after axial adjustment of the rotor.
