Removing the pump set
7.5.1 Removing the piping
Only required if the pump is to be removed from the system.
1. Undo the connections between discharge nozzle and discharge line and between
suction nozzle and suction line.
2. Fasten the suction and discharge lines to temporary holders.
3. Dismantle the minimum flow control valve, if necessary.
4. Disconnect and dismantle any auxiliary lines for circulation and cooling liquid as
well as any measuring lines as far as necessary.
5. Dismantle the measuring devices and instruments as far as necessary, and store
them appropriately.
6. If required, dismantle the cooler of the shaft seal including support.
7. Close all openings where pipes have been dismantled.
7.5.2 Removing the pump from the can

Pump tipping over when it is pulled out

Use appropriate means to secure the pump from tipping over when it is pulled
out.
▷
Maintain sufficient safety distance when lifting the pump set (which may swing
when pulled upright).
▷
Observe the applicable accident prevention regulations.
▷
Observe the required drawings/installation instructions for installing/removing
the pump set.

Take suitable precautions during the entire installation/dismantling process to
protect people from falling into the open can.
▷
Fence off the work area appropriately.
WARNING
Improper handling when setting the pump set down in a vertical/horizontal position
Personal injury and damage to property!

Use appropriate means to secure the pump set against overturning, tipping over
and rolling off.
▷
Maintain adequate safety distance during lifting operations (load may swing
when being lifted).
▷
Use additional supports for the transport holder to secure the pump set against
overturning.
