6.1 Commissioning / start-up

The operating manuals of the pump set and control unit are available.
1. Perform commissioning in accordance with the operating manuals of the pump
set and control unit.
Functional test
1. Fill the collecting tank up to the cut-in level of the first pump set. See fill level
2. Check the power supply.
3. Start up the control unit.
4. Check that the first pump set starts up.
5. Check the pump station incl. piping and valves for any leakage.
6. If the control unit includes this feature, check its response to a fault. Cause a
pretend failure at the first pump set and check that the second pump set starts
up.
7. Check the pump station incl. piping and valves for any leakage.
8. If the control unit includes this feature, check its response to a fault. Cause a
pretend failure at the second pump set and check that the first pump set starts
up.
9. Check that the first pump set stops when fill level 1 / the cut-out level has been
reached. See fill level 1 / cut-out level. (
10. Fill the collecting tank with water up to the alarm level. Check that the alarm is
triggered. Alternatively, fill the collecting tank with water up to the cut-in level
of the second pump set. See fill level 3. (
11. Depending on the hydraulic selection of the pump sets, check that the first
pump set and second pump set start up.
12. Check that the first pump set stops when fill level 2 is reached.
13. Check that the second pump set stops when fill level 1 / the cut-out level is
reached.
