Design
The automated globe valve with pneumatic actuator consists of the pressure-
retaining parts, i.e. body 100 and body bonnet 161, and the functional unit (stem 200
and valve disc 350).
Function
The valve is operated by a pneumatic actuating element (actuator).
Sealing
Body 100 and body bonnet 161 are joined by studs 902, and the joint is sealed to
atmosphere by joint ring 411.
On the standard valve design, the passage of stem 200 is sealed by means of either a
PTFE V-packing or a graphite gland packing 461. The PTFE V-packing stem seal is
maintenance-free.
