green lamps will glow steadily (7).
As soon as the red lamp also glows steadily,
the machine will be ready for use (8).
So as to prevent coffee particles becoming
lodged in the appliance, swill through the
system daily with the empty capsule holder
in position
before making the first
espresso of the day and also after making
the last one (9).
Remove the capsule holder. Always insert
the capsule upside down in the capsule
holder
(11). Each capsule contains sufficient
ground, fresh coffee for one cup of espresso.
Reinsert the capsule holder in the retaining
ring and secure it firmly by turning the
handle so that it is at right angles to the
front of the machine or points slightsy to the
right (12).
Place the pre-warmed cups (see the section
on ”pre-warming of espresso cups”) under-
neath the capsule holder.
Your appliance is already pre-programmed
for the preparation of espresso (small cup, 50
ml) or cappuccino (large cup, 120 ml). You
now prepare whichever you want by pres-
sing either the key
or the key

After having made the espresso, remove the
capsule holder and dispose of the used
capsule (14). After the preparation of
espresso, the red lamp will glow in order to
