9.1 Tine loss protection
Fitting the tine loss protection
The tine loss protection for the twin-spring tine consists
of:
—
a cord
—
two cord clamps with
—
two each of saucer-head screws, washers and
locknuts
Secure the cord (1) to the swath disc tines (3) with the
cord clamps (2).
The cord should be situated behind
the swather disc tines in relation to the
direction of rotation. The nuts (4) on
the cord clamps should be pointing
outwards.

• The basic rule for servicing, maintenance, repair and assembly work on the rotary
swather - switch off the PTO shaft.
• Switch off the engine and remove the ignition key.
• Secure the tractor and rotary swather from rolling away!
9.2 Fitting the swath former
Insert reinforcements (1) (3 x 40 x 540 4 pieces) and round
steel (2) (20 x 595) into the resting brackets on the swath
former (3). Screw the swath former (3) with the steel strip
(4) (2 x 30 x 1065 2 pieces) on to the angle bar (5) (M 6 x
25, washer 6.4 x 18 x 1.6 and locknut NM 6). Screw on the
round steel (2) between angle bar and the bracket (M 10 x
50 and locknut NM 10).
The NM 10 lock nut must not be tightened. The round steel
must be able to swing freely.
