KITCHEN HOODS
KITCHEN HOOD INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS
These are only trained professionals who
are permitted to install and connect kitchen
hoods.
It is prohibited to begin the installation pro-
cedure and remove the protective film on the
kitchen hood made of steel, until you make
sure it is technically sound, connecting that
to an electrical power network and checking
all its functions.
For that, open the package, take the kitchen hood
out of it, place it upon an even surface so that the
mode selection switch faces an inspecting person.
After that connect the kitchen hood to the mains
and check its function. Check that in all modes,
and if it functions properly, you may begin the
hood mounting. If not, turn to the sales agency
where you have purchased the hood, or warranty
workshop.
It is recommended to remove the protection
film on the hoods made of stainless steel only
upon completion of the installation procedure.
Let us remind you that the hood mounting
height above an electric stove shall be 50 cm
at least, and 65 cm above a gas stove (Fig. 11).
Attention! It is recommended to install the
hood in tandem.
Before installation, make sure that the wall onto
which the hood is going to be mounted is stable
enough. To mount the hood and a strip to fasten
the decorative case, use males screws and wall
dowels, that correspond to a type of the wall in
your kitchen (reinforced concrete, gypsum plaster-
board, etc.). If the male screws and wall dowels are
in the scope of delivery, make sure they are suit-
able for the wall onto which you mount the hood.
The sequence of the installation procedures is as
follows:
1. Mount two angle bars onto the upper back side
of the hood body which are in the set of fasten-
ers and designed for wall mounting of the hood
(Fig. 12).
2. Place the mounting template (if included) onto
the wall, at a height required, with due con-
sideration of the minimum distance from the
cooking surface and and level it. Mark points
(A, B, C, D) on the wall and drill holes, 8 mm
diameter. Mark and drill holes, 6 mm diameter,
to mount the strip to fasten the decorative case
(F, E) (Fig. 13). Take into account that the strip
shall be mounted, relative to the ceiling, in such
a way, that the upper edge of the interior deco-
rative case to be attached to it, is against the
ceiling.
3. Place wall dowels Ø 8 mm into drilled holes A,
B, C, D, and wall dowels Ø 6 mm into drilled
holes F and E.
4. Screw in the male screws (A, B) in such a way
that the distance between the wall and screw
head is 5 mm. Place the strip to fasten the
decorative case, screwing the male screws into
two upper holes (F, E).
5. Mount the plastic adapter flange (unless it is
installed) in its position above the hood, using
two male screws (Fig. 11).
6. Hang the hood onto male screws (A, B), level
it horizontally, tighten the male screws using a
screw driver. Upon completion of levelling, at-
tach the hood, using male screws to be screwed
into holes (C, D) inside the hood (Fig. 13).
If you choose the air exhaust mode (air exhaust
to a ventilating shaft), put one end of the flex-
ible air duct (not included) onto the adapter
flange.
The interface "adapter flange – air duct" must
be processed with a sealing compound. The
air duct is to be attached to the adapter flange,
using a clamp (not included) (Fig. 15). Connect
