Software history
"Firmware revision" agrees with NAMUR NE 53. It is a series of numbers used to record the revision
status of embedded software (firmware) in electronic equipment assemblies. It gives data on the type of
changes made and the effect that changes have on compatibility.
Data about software revisions is shown in menu 1.1.0 IDENT. For more data, refer to
Function
description
on page 38. If it is not possible to refer to the device menu, record the serial number of the
device (given on the device nameplate) and speak to the supplier.
