ELECTRICAL INFORMATION
9.3 #B41-LKT Optional Light Kit
ATTENTION: If converting to LP (propane) gas, do so now
before installing any media kit. Follow instructions included
with the conversion kit (sold separately).
CAUTION: Disconnect all electric power from fireplace before
performing any of these tasks.
NOTE: To avoid damage and prolong the life of halogen bulbs,
never touch with bare hands. Always use a soft cloth when
handling.
This kit includes:
(4) 20 Watt 120 V Halogen Bulbs
(1) Light Kit
(1) Rubber Grommet
(2) 1½ lb. bags of Glass
Media
(1) Bag of Klinkers
(2) Sheet Metal Screws
1.
Remove the safety barrier and glass valance.
2.
Remove log set and refractory panels (if installed).
3.
Remove the air delector, burner assembly, and burner heat
shield.
4.
Install halogen light bulbs into the (4) receptacles on the light
kit assembly.
5.
Secure light kit to secondary heat shield with (2) screws.
Place the light kit assembly in front of the pilot assembly with
the halogen bulbs facing to the front of the ireplace. Verify
light lead wires are pulled to the left of the light bracket.
6.
Remove access plate on the control board, located left of the
pilot assembly.
7.
Install rubber grommet. Lead wires on the light bar through
the grommet.
8.
Connect light wires to the light lead wires on the IFC module.
Apply high temperature sealant around the grommet and
wires to create an air-tight seal.
9.
Check bulbs by turning the lights on by remote control.
Unplug the IFC module before continuing.
10. Reinstall the burner heat shield. Verify light lead wires are
pulled to the left of the irebox to prevent wires from being
pinched by the heat shield.
11. Reinstall the ember panel and refractory panels (if used).
12. Reinstall burner assembly and air delector.
13. Place glass media into the cavity in front of the burner
assembly. Follow by randomly placing klinkers on top of
glass media.
14. Reinstall log set. Use a steel or stif bristle brush to distribute
rock wool embers onto the logs and burner.
15. Reconnect the IFC module.
16. Reinstall the glass valance and safety barrier.
