Operation Manual Expansion Module SO CM-E

1800.202B.0-01     Date: 02/2019

The DC link cable is protected by electronic monitoring and fuses in the downstream
expansion module (Dual End). This means the cable protection is in the downstream
device and not as usual at the start of the cable, for this reason the following conditions
must be met:

1.

The local regulations must permit this type of cable protection.

2.

The cable is not allowed to be extended under any circumstances.

3.

Any branches on the DC link cables to other components are not allowed.

4.

The cable is to be laid such that it is protected against mechanical damage and other detrimental
effects.

5.

The cable is not allowed to be laid close to flammable materials.

6.

The cable is only to be laid in the switch cabinet.

7.

The max. ambient temperature of the cable is not allowed to be greater than 55 °C.

8.

The cable must correspond to installation type C (DIN VDE 0298-4, number of current carrying
conductors = 2) or better (thermal reasons).

9.

The cable is available in two different versions (see Table A.7)

The characteristics of the cables described are to be taken into account while laying
the cables.

10.  The temperature of the cable can be up to max. 90 °C in normal operation.

NOTE:

The warranty provided by LTI Motion will be rendered void if an incorrect
DC link cable is used.

CAUTION!

Damage to the device due to incorrect wiring!

Failure to follow the instructions may result in damage.

•

Only this pre-assembled cable is allowed to be used for the DC link connection (X1/DC Link).

As per VDE0100, it is not allowed to extend the DC link cable.
