Mouting
You will need to make a passage through the wall for the ventilation pipe situated at the back
of the KORASMART 1100 device. The right choice of necessary machinery / tools and working
procedure(s) depend strongly on the properties of your wall. This installation instruction describes
making a passage through the wall by means of the holesaw drill bit.
• We recommend to start drilling the passage on the outside (exterior) of the wall.
• If you mount the KORASMART 1100 device on the interior side of the wall, you
must observe and comply with the following:
The installation of the ventilation device may only be performed in a protected
area III according to DIN VDE 0100. However, it may also be mounted in a pro
-
tected area II according to DIN VDE 0100 but there must be a complementary
screw securing it against potential deinstallation without any tools. The power
supply for the device
must
definitely be placed in protected area III .
• The base of the mounting site must be flat (plastered) so that the device fits it
equally.
• Works on facades containing asbestos are only permitted to be carried out by
specialized companies .
• Be careful and make sure that there are no other installations (no pipes or
electric cables) where the wall passage and holes for dowels are intended to
be placed .
• It is necessary to place the KORASMART 1100 device nearby a wall AC 230 V
mains socket so that the power supply can be plugged in easily and excessive
tension of the power cord could be avoided.
• An outside protector against bad weather conditions (cover grid) can be
installed either on the wall or the pipe on the exterior. When choosing a place
for the unit to operate, do not forget to be able to install the cover grid from the
exterior safely and also to secure the outside area against falling brickwork.
