Mounting step by step
1. Levelling the drilling template
• Use a water level in order to level the drilling template on
the mounting spot.
• Fix the drilling template in a levelled position by means of
a double-sided adhesive tape on the wall base .
• Use a pencil to mark meticulously three holes to be drilled
in the wall .
Note:
You will only need to mark the fourth mark in the drill
-
ing template when you intend to mount the KORASMART
1100 device in protected area II (see “Mounting” on page
11) or if you wish to mount the KORASMART 1100 device
with the mouthpiece. If you do one of these, mark also the
fourth spot on the wall.
2. Construction of the wall passage
• Before you start work, make sure you are wearing your
protective clothing (eye protectors, gloves and mouth
protection are a basic must) .
• Put the hole saw drilling bit fixed to your drill for core drill
-
ing on the marked spot on the drilling template.
• Level the drill for core drilling approximately in the angle
varying between 2° to 5°.
• Start drilling carefully until the hole saw drilling bit is full up.
• Pull the hole saw drilling bit out of the wall and, if need be,
remove material from the wall by means of a hammer or
a chisel .
• Repeat the process until the wall passage is finished.
3. Making holes for dowels
• Drill the three marked holes according to the drilling
template .
• The diameter of the drilled hole: 8 mm.
• Minimum depth of the drilled hole: 45 mm.
• Insert a dowel into each of the four drilled holes.
The dowels are included in the package.
Note:
If you mount the device in protected area II in a damp
room, you must also drill the fourth drilled hole (see step
1) . In this case, you will have to purchase the necessary
yourself.
