Methods of use of radiators with an EHE (electric heating element)
A radiator with an EHE fitted can work in two operating modes.
1.
As a "classical central heating radiator" heated with hot water (the fitted EHE does not change its function).
2.
As an independent heater. When the central heating system is not working, the water filler in the radiator can be
heated directly with the aid of the fitted EHE.
In this case, close the inlet valve on the radiator and switch on the EHE. If you have an EHE fitted with a mains plug,
the plug must always be located in the socket in a vertical position with the cable coming out of the plug going
downwards. No other operating position for the plug us permissible! It is forbidden to use an extension cable! If the
plug is pulled out of the socket, you must make sure that no water got into the plug. This is why we recommend that
you do not pull out the plug from the socket and use the switch on the plug for disconnection.
Safety instructions
-
RADIK COMBI VK radiators must not be covered, you must not climb onto them or hang or place any items
on them. No items may be left near the radiator, which would prevent due transfer of heat from the surface
of the radiator to the environment.
- If water gets into the plug, you must not plug it into the socket! Have it repaired by a specialist.
-
The radiator must not be bled while the EHE is in operation – it could overheat!
-
The return branch of the radiator must not be closed – the radiator could rupture due to the high pressure of
the liquid when heated!
-
Do not place the power cable on the heated radiator – a damaged power cable may only be replaced by the
manufacturer of the EHE or other qualified party, in order to avoid any danger!
-
If the power cable is damaged, immediately disconnect the EHE from the mains and have it repaired by a
specialist!
-
If the radiator overheats and the temperature regulator is tripped, remove the cause or call in a specialist.
-
The EHE is not designed for use by people (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental
disability or lack of experience and knowledge, prevents them from using it safely unless supervised or
instructed with regards to use of the appliance by the person responsible for their safety.
-
Children must not be left to play unsupervised with the EHE or with its accessories.
Warranty
The manufacturer guarantees that the product will have the properties determined by the pertinent technical norms for
the whole duration of the warranty period subject to the condition that it is mounted and used in the method described in these
instructions. The warranty does not relate to mechanical damage and defects caused by non-adherence to the instructions
for mounting and operation as set out in these operating instructions.
The product must always be sent with the warranty certificate for warranty repairs. An accompanying letter must be
attached to the product with a description of the complaint. Complaints during the warranty period must be made with the
dealer where the product was purchased or directly with the manufacturer. Products for which complaints are made must be
suitably packed in such a way that they are not damaged during transportation and further handling.
Important warning:
This product is protected against overheating with a temperature
regulator housed inside the heating element. If the liquid inside the
radiator overheats, the regulator will disconnect the element's electric
circuit thus preventing any further increase in temperature and any
danger. If you find that the radiator is cold despite the fact that the el.
heating element is switched on, this need not necessarily be caused
by a defect with the heating element. Please read the information
attached in detail and follow it!
