Replace the Lithium Battery
The motherboard is equipped with a lithium battery. To replace the battery please
proceed as follows:
1.
Open the unit as
described in chapter “Installing the Additional Cards”
(step 1-5).
2.
If your system is expanded with additional cards, please remove at first the
cards and the corresponding data cables situated directly near the lithium
battery.
3.
Remove the battery by pressing outwards the ejector spring (as marked in the
pictures).
4.
Place the new battery in the socket.
5.
Make sure that you insert the battery the right way around. The plus pole must
be on the top!
6.
The lithium battery must be replaced with an identical battery or a battery type
recommended by Kontron Embedded Computers.
7.
Reinstall any previously removed additional cards and reconnect their data
cables.
8.
Close the Unit as described in chapter “Installing the Additional Cards”
(step 6-7)

Do not dispose of lithium batteries in general trash collection.
Dispose of the battery according to the local regulations dealing
with the disposal of these special materials, (e.g. to the collecting
points for dispose of batteries).
