Note:
• When the machine has the Dual Scan Docu-
ment Feeder DF-704, go to <When the
machine has the Dual Scan Document Feeder>
on page E-7.
• When the machine does not have the Dual
Scan Document Feeder, perform the following
steps.
(5) Remove the two screws shown in the illustration
from the machine.
(6) Install two supplied shoulder screws (small).
(7) Insert the supplied DSC board into the connector
shown of the machine straight all the way until it
is stopped.
Note:
Perform it with certainty because contact failure
leads to the breakage of the board.
(8) Install two supplied shoulder screws (large).
(9) Tighten the supplied screw at the position shown
in the illustration.
(10) Affix the supplied gasket on the back of the
lower rear cover while aligning with the mark-
ing.
(11) To install the covers and other parts removed in
steps (2) to (4), reverse the removal procedure.
(12) Go to “3. Configuration procedures” on page E-
8.
