Paper Separation

• The PC Drum Paper Separator Fingers remove paper from the 

surface of the PC Drum.

The Charge Neutralizing Plate neutralizes any charge left on 
the paper.

Cleaning

• Residual toner on the surface of the PC Drum is scraped off.

The toner is then recycled back to the Developing Unit.

[12]

Main Erase

The surface of the PC Drum is irradiated with light and any sur-
face potential remaining there after cleaning is neutralized.

Fusing

The developed image is permanently fused to the paper by the 
combination of heat and pressure applied by the Fusing Roller.

[14]

Paper Exit

• The paper is fed out onto the Exit Tray.

The optional Job Separator (JS-503), when mounted on the 
copier, allows a specific tray, in which paper is fed, to be 
selected according to the operating mode.
