10. PC Drum charging
• The surface of the PC Drum is deposited with charge through corona discharge from the
PC Drum Charge Corona.
• The grid mesh interposed between the corona wire and the PC Drum ensures that a uni-
form charge is deposited across the entire surface of the PC Drum.
• The corona unit has a comb electrode that discharges only toward the grid mesh. This
results in the amount of ozone produced being smaller than with the wire electrode.
