These instructions for use apply to the Kongskilde
suction blower model SupraVac 2000.
Application
The suction blower SupraVac 2000 is developed for
pneumatic conveying of granulated materials like grain
and similar agricultural crops.
The suction blower SupraVac 2000 cannot be used for
conveying glutinous or pulverized materials.
Safety
• Take care that all the guards are in correct position
and fixed during operation.
• Never operate the machine when not properly hitc-
hed to the tractor. The tractor parking brake should
be used at all times.
• Take care that no persons or anything else are too
close to make sure that they are not hit by the loa-
ding equipment, when it is moved from working or
transport position.
• Never enter a heap of grain during suction, as there
is a risk that you will sink down into the heap and
not be able to get up on your own.
• Be careful during working on floors with a thin layer
of grain. The grain will make the floor very slippery.
• The PTO shaft must be equipped with a safety
guard, and the latter must be fixed with the chains
provided to prevent rotation. When the PTO shaft is
not connected to the tractor, the free end must be
parked in the holder on the draw bar of the suction
blower, so that the safety guard of the PTO shaft is
protected from impacts.
• Always follow the rules in force for transport of agri-
cultural machines when driving on public roads with
the suction blower.
• Be aware of the height of the suction blower when
driving close to electric cables or the like.
• Always stop the suction blower prior to repair and
maintenance. Brake the tractor, stop the motor and
remove the ignition key, so that the suction blower
cannot be started by mistake during repair or main-
tenance.
• Never put your hand into the inlet and outlet ope-
nings of the suction blower during operation.
• Avoid open suction pipes. Clothing or objects can
be drawn into the machine and cause injury to a
person or damage to the machine.
• Blower noise can be irritating. Ear protection should
be used under long-term continuous exposure.
• Use eye protection when working in the vicinity of
the intake nozzle. Kernels may fly out of the se
-
condary air opening causing eye damage, if proper
protection is not worn.
• Avoid breathing in dust when operating the suction
blower. You may use breathing protection during
the work.
• Only use the original polyurethane hose. It is anti-
static, so that no static electricity is generated,
when the grain is sucked through the hose.
• Always use a discharge cyclone to decelerate the
grain and to separate it from the air stream.
• In case of abnormal vibrations or noise, stop the
suction blower immediately, and examine the rea-
son. In case of doubt, skilled assistance must be
called in for possible repair and maintenance. It is
not allowed to make any repairs on the rotor of the
blower. In case of a damaged rotor, it must be re-
placed.
• Never use a higher RPM on the PTO of the tractor
than the suction blower is designed for (1100 RPM).
Too high RPM may overload the blower.
• The conveying air is heated, when passing through
the blower, and the surface of the blower may get
warm. Therefore, take care when touching the blo-
wer.
• Do no stand or climb on the machine, neither when
it is moved nor when it is stopped. The surface of
the machine is slippery, and there is a risk of falling
down.
• Never run the hydraulic system, before the pressu-
re is relieved. Oil streaming out under high pressure
may be dangerous.
