Replacement of hubs

Moving parts!
Install all covers, panels, and guards after servicing or cleaning the machine. Never operate the ma-
chine with covers, panels, or guards removed.

A cutterbar is used on which each hub (1) below the
discs is easily replaced from above (Top Service cutter
bar).

To replace the hub (1) :
1. Remove the disc as described on Page 7-22 .
2. Remove the nuts (2) that fix the hub (1) to the cut-
terbar (4) .
3. Remove the hub (1) .

4. Before you reinstall the hub (1) , clean and grease with
a thin layer of grease the surface of the cutter bar (4)
and the underside of the hub (1) .
Reinstall the hub and lock the nuts (2) with L
OCTITE
®
243™ on the threaded pins (3) and torque to 92 N·m
( 67.86 lb ft ).
